Hey all...Its been a while. I haven't had any time at all to blog. Last weekend was great. Doug was off work and so we spent the day as a family in the big city. We went to a few places and we got to eat at "Joe's Crab shack!!" It was great!! Monday started out good. Got to work early. Everything was going great until after lunch. Apparently we have a little tattle tail in our office. My boss called me into his office after lunch and wanted to have a little talk with me. Come to find out....He was upset because I had a password on my computer. It locks after like 3 minutes, so nobody can use my computer while I'm gone. I really didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but I guess it was. I have to allow anyone and everyone to be on my computer when I'm gone now. I really don't understand. Its my own computer. I mean it doesn't have anything on it for anyone else to see. That whole ordeal just made my damn day!!
Starting Tuesday, I was hoping that everything would go good. I was cross training with the other Specialist in our department. I was learning a few things that I didn't know. All was good.....then came the maintenance men with a memo from our boss. Because of the tattle tail...our boss sent a memo to our maintenance men saying that some people in our office had changed the door locks and that they needed to get keys. Well I really don't understand that because a friend of mine did change the knob and lock, but there's no reason that anyone should have her key anyway. She has very personal stuff in her office. Files that shouldn't be seen by anyone else. All of this comes down to the tattle tail now has a key to everyones office and knows my password.
Ever since she started in this office, it has been nothing but absolute chaos!! She just knows how to cause trouble. I really don't understand our boss either. He has always been very understanding and really never got to wound up about anything. He was the perfect boss until she showed up. As Kimmy was talking about....I guess seniority does NOT matter anymore. He is being awful to his "Loyal" employees, but he is babying the new girl. Hell, she was looking to transfer as soon as her 6 months was up. But I guess she has stopped that now, being as she has gotten the boss around her finger.
I really do hate my job now. I used to love it, but I hate being treated like a 5 year old. We get into trouble when we are going to the bathroom now days. Its alot like this everywhere you go, but there has to be something better out there!!
The last few days have been better. I'm glad that tomorrow is Friday. I'm ready for the weekend. I love spending time with my lil boy. Hes the greatest. Also, his teething is getting better now. He still doesn't have any new teeth, but he is sleeping thru most of the night. He gets up once to eat. We might get to go to the zoo on Sunday. We wanted to take Gavyn last weekend, but it was raining. O well!! There's always next time!!

Teething Turmoil
Well Gavyn is teething. At first it wasn't a bad thing. He was really good and his front, two bottom teeth came in just fine. He was a little fussy, but we could handle it. NOW, he is just the crankiest boy on the block. He does really good during the day, but at night....Oh, I just don't think anyone understands. I know others have been there, but this is just awful. Gavyn wakes up almost every hour. He screams out in pain. We massage his gums and get him back to sleep, just to do it all over again. We rotate orajel and teething tablets. And then give him Tylenol every 4 hours. He is so tired throughout the later evening, and he just fights it. He tries so hard not to go to sleep. Although I hate to say it, but sometimes its just easier if he just sleeps in our bed with us. Hes more relaxed that way. We didn't want to start it, but how else are we going to get any sleep? We both have to work. I have to say...Doug has been great through all of this. We have been splitting the times that we have to get up with Gavyn. Used to Doug would just sleep on through it and I would get up with Gavyn. Now he actually understands how much sleep I was NOT getting. Well I hope these teeth hurry up. They are killing us ALL!!!

Gavyn is 8 months old!!
My lil boy is turning into a BIG boy. It really kinda depresses me. Hes actually only 4 months away from being a year old. That just seems unreal. I can remember having him like it was yesterday. We got up and went to the Dr's Office at Like 7 in the morning. We waited in the waiting room for a little over an hour. Finally, Dr. Sparkman got there and sent us over to the hospital. There I was admitted into the OB Ward and hooked up to a bunch of machines. I had to wear the stupid gown with no back. LOL!! Finally at 10 that morning, Dr Sparkman broke my water. The contractions didn't start until later that day and there were some rough ones. My Mom and Doug were with me all day and my in-laws and Father showed up that evening. My mother finally went home about 5ish and my in-laws sat with me while Doug went to get something to eat. (Im still mad at him because he went to Red Lobster!!!!!) While Doug was gone the contractions got really hard. All I could think of was how I needed to breath. When Doug returned he began to rub my back. He was really good. I eventually got really, really tired of all of the people being in there so I told them to leave. They all were mad, but I don't care. They should have understood!! They gave me an epidural about 8ish and boy, that was sooooooo good!!! It helped so much. they put me on oxygen about 9ish and my mom showed up somewhere in there. She stayed with us until the end. Finally, at 4:25am Dr. Sparkman entered and said that we were ready to do a C-section. I was so relieved. I couldn't believe how long I had been there. Gavyn Allen Danker entered this world at 5:22am on August 14, 2008. He weighed 6 lbs, 12 oz and was 20 inches long. When I first saw him all I could see was how much he looked just like Doug and his red hair.
Wow!! I can't hardly remember what happened yesterday, but I can remember what happened almost a year ago.My lil boy is so lovable and everything, but I don't even want to imagine that it will end in the next few years. I totally understand what my mom used to go through. She cried when I turned 13 and when I entered High School. Heck, she cried when I graduated, got married, and had my first child. Its so amazing that I understand now what she was talking about. It does upset me to think that he wont be my little boy anymore.
But until then......

2009 Easter Pictures
Well here they are...Gavyn's Easter Pictures. I only put two on here because I was having some technical difficulties. They all really turned out good. I will say that Gavyn is the best picture-taker I have ever seen. Most little kids won't sit still and won't smile. Not my Gavyn, He loves the camera.
We tried to take Gavyn to see the Easter Bunny, but he wouldn't do it. He started crying. He wouldn't even get close to the bunny. Really, if I were that age again then I probably wouldn't like a "Gigantic Rabbit" either. LOL! Well, thanks for listening. Maybe I can actually say something more tomorrow!!

My Life
My life...hmmm...where do I start...I'm an Okie, born and raised. I was raised by a single mother and of course my grandparents helped. All three are the greatest supporters anyone could ever ask for. When I was 9 years old I began to show animals. I lived and breathed sawdust, sweet feed, and trophies. I was an all around "Country Girl." I graduated in 2004, and went to college full time while working. In 2006 I got married. Doug really is the greatest. Let's just say I can be a bit cranky at times. In August 2008 we had our son, Gavyn. He is our world. I never thought you could love anyone as much as we do him. He is just IT!!
I can't believe I'm doing this. My mom and a couple of friends blog. They have been on me to start and here it is. I really don't know what I'm doing. Also, if there are any misspelled words then just ignore it. My BFF's will correct me when they read them.
Thanks for reading.
